With X-Men Days of Future past only out this year, Fox intend to keep the marketing momentum going for the the next sequel in the franchise, X Men Apocalypse.

They have recently released a viral video,( see below) with professors and experts talking about how the weird phenomenons that are happening around us are due to the Mutant race, or the Homo sapiens superior as the movie franchise refers to them as.

For those of you that don’t follow the world of X men quite as geekly closely as myself, then I will let you into some of the basics.

X Men Apocalypse is the sequel to X Men Days of Future Past, and is set to hit cinemas on May 27th 2016 with Bryan singer confirmed to be  returning to direct.

Apocalypse is a villain from the Marvel universe that has the strength of the HULK accompanied by the ability to shape shift, teleport, fly and never age.

The movie is set to be set during the 80’s and will there for feature the majority of the X-Men First class cast, including Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.

It has also been confirmed that Halle Berry character Storm, Famke Janssen / Phoenix and James Marsden / Cyclops are also set to get younger interpretation for the Movie.  Writer  of the last 2 movies Simon Kinberg recently said to Yahoo News,

‘Halle, Famke, and Jimmy and others have done such wonderful jobs of bringing those characters to life. It would be a tall task.’  Kinberg continued: ‘But I also would have said before First Class there would have been no way we find actors who could stand alongside Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, but I think we managed to with Michael [Fassbender] and James [McAvoy], finding their own interpretations of the characters, not doing an impersonation.’

Hugh Jackman will be returning to the fold as Wolverine  with Channing Tatum making his X Men debut as Gabbit.
