Constantine will not be renewed past its current 13 epsidoe order it has been announced.

Although the show has not been officially cancelled yet, unlike other new series like The Flash and Forever, Constantine will not receive an order for any further episodes beyond the original 13.

The show, based on the long-running comic series Hellblazer, has ticked up a little in the ratings Deadline reports, so there’s hope yet. It’s interesting to note that the show nearly doubles the ratings Hannibal gets on Friday nights and that show is coming back for season 3. Then again, that show is amazing and I’ve never seen Constantine so maybe it does make sense; someone at the network must really love them some Hannibal.

Constantine airs on Fridays at 10/9c in the US, with new episodes debuting on Saturdays in the UK via Amazon Prime Instant Video.

so watch this space to see as to whether Constantine will be back next year for a season 2.
