Diggle to become Green Lantern on Arrow
Actor David Ramsay has spoke out about the possibility of how his character Diggle, could evolve into the Green Lantern.

DC television universe is growing and although Marvel have the audience share in the movie world, DC seem to currently have the line share on the TV.

Last year saw Arrow return for a third season with The Flash, Gotham and Constantine all premiering their first seasons.  This year will see a Supergirl series added to the list along with IZombie, it has also been mooted about that Atom will receive his own series along with a Superman prequel entitled Krypton, we can now add a possible Green Lantern spin off from the DC television universe.

Diggle character was created for the TV series and from that his character has already spun off into the comic book world, David Ramsey recently said that “serious discussions” are underway as to whether his Arrow character John Diggle will become the Green Lantern.

When pushed by Comicbook about the possibility of him becoming the John Stewart of Green Lantern he stated, I cannot say ‘yes’, and cannot say, ‘no’.

He went on to say: “I mean, I’ll say this: it is top secret. [I have] asked them, and they’re like, ‘We’re working on some stuff.’ If that’s the case, it’s gonna be huge. This is the stuff they want to avoid. I think they don’t want anybody to know yet and they haven’t even told me. They have told me that they are thinking about it and they are considering it.

Ryan Reynolds previously portrayed the Green Lantern in the 2011 movie,  with a reboot expected to premier in 2020.

the second part of season 3 has seen Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) become the Black Canary, whilst Brandon Routh will also become the Atom.

Arrow Season 3 is currently airing in the US on the CW, with the series in the UK set to return to Sky 1 this coming Thursday ( 12th February).
