The Will Smith fronted movie ‘Hitch’ is set to get a TV make over

The romantic comedy Hitch is set to get its TV adaptions.

The original movie which was released in 2005 starring Will Smith, took over £370 million at the global box office, on the success of those taking a half-hour, single-camera workplace comedy that explores dating and sexual politics”, is set to have a pilot made.

Will and wife Jada Pinkett Smith will both serve as executive producers for the series, alongside Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, who will pen the script, and Overbrook Entertainment’s James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett.

Hitch was released back in 2005 and told the story of Alex ‘Hitch’ Hitchens, a professional dating advisor who tries to get the girl of his dreams Sara Melas (Eva Mendes) a reporter that thinks she cant be got.

Will will next appear in Focus alongside Margot Robbie and is also being eyed up to play a part in the Suicide Squad movie.
