The Transporter & Empire both find UK homes at Spike and E4

.Transporter and Empire get UK air dates..
Two of the big shows that came out of the US last year included Movie adaption Transporter, along with Musical series Empire and it seems that both shows will be crossing the Atlantic.

Transporter is being picked up by new Viacom channel ‘Spike’ which is set to go live later this month, the channel have made a few acquisition including the full Breaking Bad series.

Transporter the Series follows Frank Martin (a character that was made famous by Jason Statham), a professional “transporter” paid to pick up and deliver people or cargo from anywhere in the world. Frank is the very best at what he does and handles only the most difficult dangerous and assignments.

Over on E4 who have made a few big acquisitions over the last year including Teen scifi series ‘The 100′,  has picked up the miuscial series from Fox ‘Empire’.

Starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P Henson, the series is set to air over the coming months.

Empire follows powerhouse hip-hop mogul Lucious Lyon (Howard) and his quest to decide which of his three sons will become heir to to his music kingdom.

A lot of the tracks that feature on the show are produced by renowned Rap star Timberland, alongside songwriter and producer Jim Beanz.

Empire has already received a season 2 order from US network Fox.
