Taken 3 have today released new pictures form the next installment in the Taken franchise, along with a film synopsis.

When Taken was first released in 2008 it marked a defining moment in Liam Neesons career, putting him squarely in the focus of casting directors as a man at the age of 56 who could play the action man.

The part of Bryan Mills is probably Neeson most recognisable role, even though his CV would be one that any actor would be proud of, including starring in movies such as Schindler’s List, Star Wars and Gangs of New York.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Neeson spoke about Taken 3 saying “It’s a rollicking good story,”.

He went onto speak about the story stating that it’s not so much taken this time, he then joked saying,

“This time, no more traveling,” says Neeson. “If my daughter was ‘taken’ again on a trip, Bryan Mills would have to be certifiably locked up for bad parenting.”

The third installment in the franchise, will see the retired CIA agent going on the run for a murder he didn’t commit.   Co Star Forrest Whittaker will be taking up the role as the law enforcement officer who pursues Bryan Mills.  “He’s an excellent actor.” Whittaker said when speaking about Neeson, “There’s no big fight between us, which I would have loved, that will have to wait until Taken 4.”he added.

Although Whittaker commented on the possibility of a Taken 4, when Neeson spoke out about further taken movies he said “I think this is the end.”

Taken 3 (Tak3n) will be released on January 8, 2015 in the UK and January 9 in the US.
