Syfy 12 Monkeys release casting news

Ahead of 12 Monkeys release this coming January, Syfy have released some casting news on the new series.

The 13- episode series that is based on the 1995 movie by Terry Gilliam’s of the same name, have now cast Tom Noonan and Emily Hampshire.

It has been reported that both actors have received key roles with in the fourth coming show that is set to premier in January 2015.

Tom Noonan who stared as Reverend Cole in the Tv series Hells on Wheels is set to portray a “mysterious villain”.  Whilst Emily Hampshire who stared in Rookie Blues is set to take on the role of Jennifer Goines “a dangerous, unstable mental patient”.

Previously, Syfy president Dave Howe referred to the series as a “captivating time travel adventure and high stakes race against the clock”.

Aaron Stanford leads the cast of 12 Monkeys as a time traveller who journeys from 2043 to the present day as he seeks to stop a deadly plague from destroying the human race.

Gilliam who recently finished his Monty Python Live (Mostly)  show, spoke out about the adaption of his 1995 movie that starred both Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt as, “ridiculous” and “dumb”.

“It doesn’t have anything to do with me and no-one has contacted me,” said the filmmaker.
