DC / Warner Bros have finally confirmed there cast line up for the 2016 movie Suicide Squad, which will include Will smith and Tom Hardy.

As we reported last month Margot Robbie will also be joining the cast, we also speculated that Jared Leto was in talks and has now been confirmed to be taking on the role of the Joker.

Jai Courtney, meanwhile, will be playing Boomerang, and Cara Delevingne will be bringing Enchantress to the big screen.

Will smith is set to take the role of Deadshoot, whilst Hardy will play elite soldier Rick Flagg.

According to reports, Jesse Eisenberg may also show up in the

film as Lex Luthor, after he takes on the role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

We were already aware that the Supervillain movie had brought in David Ayer (Fury, End Of Watch) to direct Suicide Squad, and he’s doing some work on the script too.

“The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one,” Warner Bros president Greg Silverman said in a statement.

“We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under David Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

Based on the DC Comic, Suicide Squad was confirmed when Warner Bros announced its DC film slate up to 2020 in October.

The story follows supervillains who were organised by the US government to work together as a black ops team in exchange for redemption.

Shooting is expected to being in Toronto next April

Suicide Squad is scheduled for releases on August 5, 2016.
