The Social media giant SnapChat, is set to work with AT&T in releasing a new superhero series via its platform.

Snapperhero is set to cast some social media personalities to star in the scripted series.

The network has approached people with large followings on YouTube, Snapchat and Vine, who will then ask their audiences to make choices that will influence the storyline.

“A lot of it will be built on suggestions that are generated from the fans, and this is how we will build the audience for the show,” said producer Billy Parks. We start by saying, ‘Hey, we are going to make this, so what are your suggestions?’ And we will show them how it’s being made along the way.”

Snapchat currently has a reported 100 million users, with over 400 millions snaps being sent per day. In 2013 it was reported that SnapChat declined a buy out offer from Facebook of $3 Billion.

SnapChats unique selling point which differs from other social media platforms, is that the videos or pictures that are sent normally disappears after a few seconds.

Episodes of SnapperHero will only be available for 24 hours before being deleted.

“There is a little bit more of a sense of urgency to watch these episodes,” said director Sam Gorski.

The series is expected to include 12 episodes over a four-week period in the coming months.
