Season 4 of Elementary adds Fringes John Noble as series regular.

The Crime series Elementary based around a modern Sherlock Holmes, is set to return for a season 4 with John Noble set to join the cast.

The Johnny Miller and Lucy Liu fronted series will return this Autumn, with it being announced that the introduction of Sherlocks father will be part of the series storyline.

The role as been awarded to John noble whose notable television credits include Fringe, The Good Wife and 24, will play Mr Holmes, Sherlock’s wealthy, estranged father who arrives in New York City to deal with the aftermath of his son’s recent relapse.

“We could not be more delighted to have John Noble taking on such an important role”, said executive producer Robert Doherty. “We’ve enjoyed his work for many years now – especially his tremendous run on ‘Fringe’ – and cannot wait to see him opposite Jonny and Lucy. It’s going to be an exciting season.”
