Ridley Scott is working on an Ebola TV mini series

According to TVLine an Ebola based TV series is currently in the works.

It seems that regardless of whether you look at the moment Ebola seems to be the headline, on the news, in the paper, coffee mornings you names Ebolas hot topic.

It has been reported that director Ridley scott (Prometheus) has been working on a mini series adaption of a novel by Richard Preston entitled The Hot Zone. Although there is no current netowrk attached to the project, it is said that Scott and producer Lynda Obst are closer to having a full screenplay ready.

Scott, Obst, David Zucker and Jim Hart would all serve as executive producers on the project.

Described as “a terrifying true story,” Preston’s Hot Zone is based on his 1992 New Yorker article “Crisis in the Hot Zone,” which documented the United States’ response to the possibility of the Ebola virus crossing our borders.
