Helix and Revenge cancelled..
This week has seen 2 series cancelled prior to the upfronts next week, with Syfy Helix finishing after just 2 seasons, and ABC Revenge not set to see a season 5.

The season two finale – which aired on April 10 – will now serve as permanent closure to the science fiction thriller. The decision comes after the final episode only attracted 440,000 viewers – down from its glowing start in January 2014, when 2.8 million tuned in.

Although Syfy canceling of Helix was a little unexpected ABC announcement that Revenge will not be returning had been rumoured over the last few months.. But ABC has pulled the plug on Revenge after airing four season of the series starring Emily VanCamp. The series finale will air on ABC on Sunday May 10th.

Revenge, which debuted on ABC in 2011, tells the story of Emily Thorne (VanCamp) as she plots her elaborate plan for revenge after her father was imprisoned for treason.

Executive producer Sunil Nayar said: “We can officially tell our fans that this will be the end of the story.

“We’ve been talking to the network and we all just wanted to make sure that we felt very confident. Now that everybody has seen the finale – which is fabulous – everybody understands that as much as we all adore the show, it has hit exactly the mark it needed to end.”

Revenge air in the US on ABC whilst E4 air the series in the UK.
