Resident Evil to get TV adaption

Resident Evil is set to get its TV  premier with an adaption of The Mortal Instruments.

Resident Evil has been around since 1996, delighting both gamers and movie goers alike.   The first movie was released in 2002 with Milla Jovovich taking the lead,the 6th and final installment to the franchise which is due to be released in 2015 will see Jovovich reprise her role once again as Alice, but now the company who own the rights have spoken out about bringing the series to TV after the movie franchise has finished.

Constantin films the rights owners to the Resident Evil television format recently said, “Constantin has a lot of feature film brands, and we are moving them into television,” executive Martin Moszkowicz said. For instance, we own the rights to the book series The Mortal Instruments, and we just hired a showrunner in Los Angeles.”

As of yet we have no idea as to whether they will ask Jovovish to star in the TV adaption or not.

A HD remake of the first Resident Evil game is currently in development by Capcom.

It will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in early 2015.
