Red Dwarf back for series 11 and 12

.REd Dwarf to return for series 11 and 12 on Dave..
The Cult 80’s and 90’s comedy series was brought back in 2009 and 2012 after being of air for 10 years, with it now being confirmed that UKTV channel Dave will be bring it back again in 2016.

The announcement came from co- creator of the comedy series Doug Naylor,

Naylor said: “[Dave’s general manager] Steve North and everyone at UKTV have been so supportive of Red Dwarf from the start of their involvement with the show. Steve originally asked for more shows back in 2012 but frustratingly it’s taken until now to get our ducks in a row and all the boys available at the same time. Now they are, we’re all absolutely delighted.”

The series orders will see the return of original cast members which include Craig Charles as List, Chris Barrie as Rimmer, John-Jules as Cat and Robert Llewellyn as Kryten.

The show originally aired on BBC 2 in February 1988 with the opening epsidoe entitled ‘The End’.  Red Dwarf also won an International Emmy award back in 1994 in the popular Arts Category.

Series 11 is set to air in 2016 with it scheduled for series 12 to air in 2017.
