Production starts on Dan Browns Inferno Tom Hanks Stars

Tom Hanks was last seen as Robert Langdon in the 2009 movie Angels & Demons, he is now set to reprise his role again in next years Inferno.

The film will see Langdon follow the trail of clues about the Italian Poet Dante Alighieris master piece the Divine Comedy in a race to save the world from a deadly plaque.

The Inferno will be the third installment in what is currently a quadrilogy of books, with the first movie the Da vinci Code being adapted back in 2006 it is expected that the final installment ‘The Lost’ will be released in 2018.

Principal photography has begun in Italy with scenes being shot in many of Florence’s most renowned buildings and Piazzas.

Hanks recently commented on the release of Inferno stating, ” I like it because… there is a degree of mystery and at the same time a great amount of predictability that goes along with it”.

The movie will see the return of Ron Howard back in the director chair, with The Theory of Everything actress Felicity Jones join the cast.

“This one , I think is much more modern” Howard commented on Inferno “its edgier, the crisis that we are dealing with is very real and present, and something that people talk about”.

Inferno is set to hit cinemas on October 16th 2016, Hanks can next be seen in cold war thriller ‘Bridge of Spies’ in October this year.
