.Mcdonalds the movie 'The founder'..
McDonalds is set to get a Hollywood make over, with a biopic movie in the works.

You read the heading correctly, a movie being developed about the world famous fast food franchise that is can not be escaped regardless of what corner of the earth you go too. With the project having only just been announced it seems a director may be on board already.

John Lee Hancock (Saving Mr. Banks, The Blind Side) is reportedly in line to direct drama The Founder, which has been written by Robert Siegel and will tell the true story of the fast food empire.

The official jargon that has been released is,

“The Founder is a drama that tells the true story of how Ray Kroc, a salesman from Illinois, met Mac and Dick McDonald, who were running a burger operation in 1950s Southern California. Kroc was impressed by the brothers’ speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. He maneuvered himself in a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire.”

McDonald’s was also in the news earlier this week, as the chain is trialling a tablet app in the US that allows customers to create their own burger.

McDonalds could be a good premises for a movie, which is being said to be based a similar sort of style movie as the Social Network. As long as if this one is a success we don’t start getting some sort of universe of fast food movie with KFC and Subway both getting a movie deals.

More on this as we have it.
