Mark Hamill will reprise role as the Trickster on The Flash

After Filming Star Wars Mark Hamill is set to reprise another role, albeit a little less known role as The Trickster, in the DC comic adapted series ‘ The Flash’.

Hamill originally stared in the 90’s CBS TV series ‘the Flash’ as The Trickster, and has just been signed up to play in the latest reincarnation of the show over on The CW.

In the updated role, Hamill will play the life sentence-serving con-man who helps Barry Allen/The Flash and Joe West track down various copycat Tricksters creating havoc in the city.

“Mark Hamill returns in a brand new interpretation of James Jesse (aka The Trickster), a role he originated on the 90’s ‘Flash’ series,” said the official announcement.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has also said that, Hamill was on their orignal wish list when thee show was in the development stages.

“Christmas and Chanukah came early for us this year when he said yes! We are beyond humbled and excited to have him joining us for another round of deadly trickery!”

The new series that premiered earlier this year, has also seen actor John Wesley Shipp return as Henry Allen after orignally playing The Flash in the 90’s series.

Hamill is expected to star as the trickster in epsilon 17.

The Flash airs on Sky1 in the UK, and on The CW in the US.
