The movie would has been green lit SMith, Jonah Hil, Channing Tatum, Tommy Lee Jones, Comedy,  purely on the concept and talent alone, with a release set for 2016 or 2017 at the latest.

Sony’s Motion Picture Chief Amy Pascal wrote in a message, wrote in one message: “We don’t have a script yet so we’ll be greenlighting the movie off the concept and the talent involved.”

Jump Street directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have signed up to produce, and may also direct the movie.

The idea seems like one that could work, but would be great to  atleast see either Smith or Lee Jones make an appearance in the movie. With Smith work schedule which is set to include the Suicide Squad movie and a promised Bad Boys 3, it may have to be left to Tommy Lee Jones to make the token appearance in the movie.
