Jurassic World the fourth coming next installment in the Jurassic Park franchise is about to begin shooting in Hawaii, we take a look at what we know.

It has been confirmed that both Sam Neil and Laura Dern who were the lead characters in the first Jurassic Park will not be returning, as well as Jeff Goldblum being written out after starring in the first 2 films.

In an interview with director Colin Trevorrow his comment on not bring back these original cast members was “I know a lot of fans want to see the original characters back. They’re iconic. But I respect those actors too much to shoehorn them into this story for my own sentimental reasons. Jurassic Park isn’t about the bad luck of three people who keep getting thrown into the same situation. The only reason they’d go back to that island is if the screenwriters contrived a reason for them to go. But there is a character from the first film who makes sense in our world. This hasn’t been announced yet, but BD Wong will be returning as Dr.

Henry Wu. He had a much larger role in the original novel, he was the engineer of this breakthrough in de-extinction. He spent two decades living in Hammond’s shadow, under appreciated. We think there’s more to his story.”

Vincent D’Onofrio has been confirmed to be staring in new movie who was most recently seen starring alongside Stallone in Escape Plan.  He is set to play the CEO of Patel Co-operations the new owners of Jurassic Park.

In other casting news Irrfan Khan who played Adult Pi in “Life of Pi” is set to star along with Idris Elba who most recently gave a career defining performance in the biopic film “Mandella: A Long Walk to freedom”

The brief overview of the film that has been given by Trevorrow via his Twitter feed was “Reboot is a strong word. This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park.”

Shooting begins in April with Jurassic World set to hit Cinemas on June 12th 2015.
