Its been a long time coming, but Harrison ford will be returning to the role of Indiana Jones for a 5th instalment in the franchise.

Walt Disney who purchased the rights to the franchise from Lucasfilms said, ” as yet the untitled film will be directed by Steven Spielberg and is expected to be in cinemas in 3 years time”

By the time the move hits cinemas Ford will be 76 years old and won’t be quite as agile as when he made the first 3 movies in his late 30’s and early 40’s.

The character was last seen in 2008’s poorly-received Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Last year, there was talk of Chris Pratt being cast in the lead role in a series reboot, and he said he would not be intimidated by the project.
