..Homeland season 5 move to germany.
Plot lines of the highly anticipated Homeland season 5 have been revealed, with Carrie Mathinson investigation this time being set in Germany.

Previous seasons of the CIA thriller have seen Carrie Mathinson and her team largely deal with threats from the middle East, this time the series is set to deal with a threat for Europe.

Homeland’s executive producer Alex Gansa first hinted in March at PaleyFest that the series would move ahead two-and-a-half years with Mathison in a new job for a security firm.

The synopsis that has been given to the new season, which will mark the first ever American series to see a full season shoot in Germany was

“Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the war on terror, Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm.”

After the departure of Nicholas Brodys (Damien Lewis) in the 3rd season it was debated as to whether the show could hold its own with Carrie Mathinson as the central character.  But after Claire Danes holding the show for season 4 she was quickly confirmed the be returning for the 5th season.

However, at this point in time no other cast member have been confirmed although it is extremely likely that Mandy Patinkin will return as Saul Berenson with the possibility that he has been reinstated as CIA chief.

More on this as we have it.
