Fox pick up TNT Crime Drama ‘Murder in the first’

The TNT Crime drama ‘Murder in the First’ has been picked up in the UK by Fox.

The TNT original drama has been acquired by Fox for the exclusive first run rights to TNT’s Steven Bochco created drama series, Murder In The First and will Friday, January 16 at 10pm.

The ten-part series focuses on two San Francisco detectives (Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson) investigating separate murders who discover a common link between the two.

The show, which was recently renewed by TNT for a second season, is produced by TNT Originals and stars Taye Diggs (Private Practice), Kathleen Robertson (Boss), Tom Felton (Harry Potter), Mimi Kirkland (Safe Haven), Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time), Ian Anthony Dale (Hawaii Five-0), Bess Rous (What Just Happened) Steven Weber (Dallas, Wings) and Richard Schiff (The West Wing). The executive producers are Steven Bocho and Eric Lodal.

Head of Programming and Scheduling of FOX International Channels UK said: “Murder in the First is a compelling single-case drama, with striking performances and a plot that will keep you guessing ‘whodunit’ until the very end.

“A perfect companion to NCIS, viewers can enjoy their fill of intriguing mysteries and murder, Friday nights on FOX.”
