Fish Mooney replacement see James Frain enter the fold for Gotham season 2

After Fish Mooney departed from season 1 a new central character is needed to replace the void left by Jada Pinkett Smith performance.

It has been confirmed that James Frain has been cast as season regular, who is probably best known for playing Thomas Cromwell in the Tudors and who has also starred in movies such as Tron Legacy and the Lone Ranger.

Frain is set to take on the character os Billionaire industrialist Theo Galavan, who is the saviour that Gotham has been waiting for. His altruism, however, is a front for a centuries-old vendetta, which will sees Theo and his sister Tabitha (better known as Tigress) bring chaos and violence to a new level in Gotham city. The duo of Theo and Tabitha/Tigress will be the main villains in Gotham season 2.

It has been alleged that the part of Tabitha/Tigress has gone to Colverfield and Grace point Actress Jessica Lucas.

The series which follows the early years of Gotham prior to Bruce Wayne donning his cape, and becoming the Dark Knight averaged 6 million viewers through out its freshman series in the US and was also a big hit over the pond in the UK.

The series stars,  Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Zabryna Guevara, Erin Richards, David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova and airs in the US on Fox and in the UK on channel 5.

Season 2 is set to return October 2016.
