Doctor Who Christmas Special add Nick Frost to cast.

The BBC have released casting news for this years Christmas Special, of the cult TV series Doctor Who.

Last years Christmas Special saw Matt Smith in his final scenes as the Doctor, with the introduction of Peter Capaldi as his replacement so who can we expect to appear this year.

There has been rumours that Nick Frost would be cast for this year special, with an official press release now confirming that the Cuban Fury actor is set to  star.

Joining Frost will be Coronation Street star Natalie Gumede and Misfits star Nathan McMullen who will both be making guest appearances, along with Michael Troughton and fresh meat

actress Faye Marsay both rounding out the cast.

Nick Frost said: “I’m so thrilled to have been asked to guest in the Doctor Who Christmas special, I’m such a fan of the show.

“The read-through was very difficult for me; I wanted to keep stuffing my fingers into my ears and scream ‘No spoilers!’ – every day on set I’ve had to silence my internal fan boy squeals!”

Doctor who is currently airing on Saturday nights in the UK at 7:30 on BBC 1, and in the US on BBC America at 8 pm.
