The 1974 movie Death Wish, is set for a remake by The A-Team director Joe Carnahan.

The original movie saw Charles Bronson portray Paul Kersey, a vigilante out for revenge after his wife is murdered.   Over 20 years 5 Death Wish movies were made with the second seeing his daughter murdered and again Kersey out for revenge. By the 5th movie Kersey has seen his step daughter die from a drug overdose leading him to take down the cartel, and his new wife be threatened by mobster you would of thought Kersey would of just moved to a quiet suburban location.

With Dish Wish set to be rebooted the unlucky Kersey will be out for revenge, this time being played by The Purge : Anarchy actor Frank Grillo.

The Last time Grillo and Carnahan worked together was on The Grey, were he co starred alongside Liam Neeson back in 2011, in an interview at the time of its release he said  “Carnahan and I became friends, We’re going to do Death Wish together. Death Wish has an amazing script. That’s kind of tied up with Fox. He’s got a film called White Jazz, which is based on the book. So him and I are going to do something I think at the end of next year together”.

So although the movie has been in the pipeline for some years, it seems that finally production may actually move forward.
