The long mooted Suicide Squad movie has now found it’s self a director and set to press ahead.

According to Variety  David Ayer has accepted the job of directing Suicide Squad the next expansion to the DC / Warner comic universe.

The film is yet to be officially announced, but is rumoured to be one of the several mystery DC films scheduled for release up until 2020, we already know that out of the 10 film set to be be coming out way some of these are taken up by,

Batman V Superman : Dawn of Justice, Shazam, Justice League Movie, Sandman Movie solo Batman Movie,  Man of steel 2 and a Wonder woman movie,  this still leaves 3 movies to be released.

The Squad’s roster consists of reformed and/or incarcerated villains, promised commuted sentences in return for participation in high-risk missions.  They were recently seen on The CW and Sky One’s highly successful series Arrow, which saw Deadhshot, Bronze tiger and Shrapnel all appear led by the amoral government operative Dr Amanda Waller.

The Suicide Squad could prove another money spinner for the DC Warner joint venture,  giving them the opportunity to then explore each character in solo movies, similar to whats been currently done with the DC Justice League characters and of course over at Marvel with the Avengers characters.

Ayer most recently direct the Schwarzenegger movie sabotage, and the Brad Pitt fronted movie Fury.

At present there has been  no confirmation as to what release date this movie will fill, but we will keep you posted on further updates.
