Channel 4 sets UK air date for Agents of Shield Season 2

Channel 4 have confirmed the return of ABC’s drama series Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The comic book drama’s second season will resume on Friday, March 27 at 8pm.

Developed for television by Joss Whedon, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. follows the daily activities of the intelligence agency knows as Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistic Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.), which has appeared in numerous Marvel comics and feature films.

The first episode back will be ‘Aftershocks’ – written by showrunners Maurissa Tancharoen & Jed Whedon, the episode will explore the shocking ramifications of Skye’s transformation.

Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse) has been promoted to series regular status for the new run of episodes, while Drea De Matteo (The Sopranos), Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People), Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica) and Blair Underwood (Ironside) will all play guest roles.

Agents of SHIELD returned to ABC in the US on March 3, meaning UK fans will be a little over 3 weeks behind when it returns on the 27th of March at 8pm.
