The new drama which is set to star Sharon Stone has been given a 10 episode order by TNT.

The new series which is from the writer of the Bourne Identity, follows a recent order for the new crime drama Breed.

Agent X follows John Case  played by Jeff Hephner (Chicago Fire), a top secret agent hidden from the view of the public – and even from the President – who is trained and ready to serve, deployed only at the careful discretion of the Vice President. Case must tackle global threats and the palaces of intrigue of Washington D.C. With Case handling high-stakes missions that are too sensitive for the FBI and the CIA, incumbent VP Natalie Maccabee (Stone) soon finds herself being drawn into the action.

The announcement that Stone will be joining the cast, mean she will be another Hollywood Alister that has moved from Movie to TV.  This years saw Halle Berry star in Extant to acclaimed reviews with  Kevin Bacon continuing to play Ryan Hardy in the thriller ‘The Following’.

“Agent X is a perfect fit for TNT’s expanding lineup of action-dramas,” said Lillah McCarthy, senior vice president of TNT and TBS Original Productions. “It’s a slick, high-energy thrill-ride with lots of twists and turns, big action sequences and kick-ass stunts. And at the center of it all, we have an incredible cast led by Jeff Hephner, Sharon Stone and Gerald McRaney.”

As of yet no air date has been confirmed, but we will be sure to keep you posted.
